No display with add-in video card

I had this issue once before with an older Intel motherboard and an HD where the card was simply incompatible. I’m gonna sound like an asshole, but I gotta say it. Regardless of this setting, I can always get a display when booting without the add-in video card.

I know in the past there have occasionally been issues with video cards not agreeing with motherboards. Is this possibly the case here?
